The path of a scene: from intent to acceptance

Every scene takes the same path: intent → brief → text → acceptance. The first step and the last one are yours.

Intent

You write in your own words what should happen: the event, who takes part, where the scene breaks off. A few sentences are enough. If the novel has a plan, the intent is built from the line of the plan.

Brief and text

Once you start it, the assistant unfolds the intent into a brief — how the scene is built, what it opens with, where it leads. Then it gathers the material: the canon cards it needs, the memory of earlier scenes, the rules of the style. And it writes the text in one go.

Every step is visible on the screen. The brief and the text you can read and edit yourself, and the scene you can ask to be rewritten with a remark.

Acceptance

Until a scene is accepted it is a draft: you can rewrite it as many times as you like, and the novel does not change.

The Accept the scene button makes the scene part of the novel. Along with the text it keeps the scene memory, the updated cards and the timeline entry — as one point in the history of the novel. You can come back to any such point.

Why it works this way

The path is broken into steps so that you can step in where it costs least. Fixing a couple of sentences of the intent is easier than rewriting a finished text.
